#harvest
The definition of harvest; the process or period of gathering in crops. The product or result of an action. The key word here is “action”. When I think of harvest, it’s easy for me to see the result and not the hard work & production behind the result. I had the pleasure of asking a few friends and family what harvest meant to them. It has been such a blessing to me, I wanted to share with you all.

~It is through my humility that I shine His glory~
I can’t believe God used me to bring glory to his name. When I think of the word glory, I also think of humility. It is through my humility that I shine His glory.
In different seasons of our lives, God uses us. For this season of my life, it happens to be through my running journey.

~Having a purpose for our endurance, the process to the outcome becomes obtainable~
I just completed my first 31 days in a 90-day challenge called “Last 90 Days” with Rachel & Dave Hollis. I made it 31 days with no coffee. So, what gave me the endurance to follow through? I had a purpose to complete something that I knew would be a challenge, but it was worth that sacrifice. Because I cut coffee out completely, I took away any temptation to have it.

I recently shared my running journey with you all back in June. A quick recap, I started running in January through the Run for God bible study & 5k program. Once I reached my 5k goal in April, I kept pushing myself week after week to run farther. I had always planned on running the 5k in Georgetown’s Bridge to Bridge Run on 11/2/19. Over the summer I decided to challenge myself to sign up for the 12k. I kept pushing harder each week. When summer was over and I had surpassed a 12K, I was contemplating signing up for the half marathon.

#hunger by: Julie Wicker
In finding your purpose or its purpose God gives you a hunger for something more. It’s in our hunger pains and sometimes spiritual famine that we find our desires, our joys, and our calling. The purpose then gets fed and God eventually brings that hunger back. It’s called the Journey of spiritual growth. How boring would life be if we continually felt full?

My Dad’s most recent procedure was successful. I was overwhelmed with Joy when I got the news from mom that the procedure had worked. It was not long when that joy was crushed. The next message I get from mom was that they could not wake Dad, his oxygen was low, and they would have to put him in ICU on a ventilator. As I struggled through packing and picking up kids and getting on the road to start traveling to Mom and Dad, I felt like all hope was lost. As the evening went on, we received better news. Dad was awake and breathing better. By 10:00pm he was breathing on his own and I was having a phone conversation with my Dad. I was overwhelmed with Joy again.
