~Having a purpose for our endurance, the process to the outcome becomes obtainable~
I just completed my first 31 days in a 90-day challenge called “Last 90 Days” with Rachel & Dave Hollis. I made it 31 days with no coffee. So, what gave me the endurance to follow through? I had a purpose to complete something that I knew would be a challenge, but it was worth that sacrifice. Because I cut coffee out completely, I took away any temptation to have it.

Synonyms to endurance are grit, patience, perseverance, stamina, strength, courage, ability, and capacity. There are many things in life we need endurance for so that we can keep pushing for the outcome we desire. As I have been training for the half marathon a scripture that I can cling to is from 1 Cor 9: 24-26 NLT; “Don’t you realize that in a race everyone runs, but only one person gets the prize? So, run to win! All athletes are disciplined in their training. They do it to win a prize that will fade away, but we do it for an eternal prize. So, I run with purpose in every step. I am not just shadowboxing”. I chose this translation because it uses the word “purpose”. If I did not have a purpose for running, I would just aimlessly be running. I am personally not running to win. I’m running for God’s glory. In the process of running I feel as though I am running on His grace.
Moving forward into my next 30, I will continue with no coffee until race day and I will give up pasta for the month of November. The purpose to this challenge is that I will go into 2020 with momentum and motivation. What are you working towards that you need endurance? What is your purpose for your endurance?
