Philippians 4:14 NIV — Yet it was good of you to share in my troubles.
Who did I share my troubles with? After almost four weeks with no results, I turned to some very dear friends for comfort and prayer. God gives us Godly friends to help us soar when we are weary. We read in Isaiah 40:31 NIV — but those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.
God has also given me a husband who I can lean on and who has been on this journey with me. I am blessed to have a waiting room companion. My husband reminded me over and over that the doctor expected good results. God gave me hope when I learned that the laboratory was behind on reporting. Meanwhile, I followed through with obtaining a sourdough starter from a friend so that I could be reminded of God’s daily bread.
Let’s pray. Dear God, thank You for giving me Godly family and friends who I can turn to for comfort and prayer. Thank You for a very active sourdough starter. I ask that You bless my family and friends for being faithful. In Jesus’ name I pray, Amen.
