Today’s thoughts by Deborah Ard

This week will be filled with love. I will share some biblical thoughts on love each day and we will end on Saturday, February 14th, which is Valentine’s Day which is known as the Day of Love. Before we start our week, take some time to read and meditate on the scripture verses below that will be featured this week.

John 3:1-21 NIV

1 John 4:7-12 — Dear friends, let us love one another, for love comes from God. Everyone who loves has been born of God and knows God. Whoever does not love does not know God, because God is love. This is how God showed his love among us: He sent his one and only Son into the world that we might live through him. This is love: not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son as an atoning sacrifice for our sins. Dear friends, since God so loved us, we also ought to love one another. No one has ever seen God; but if we love one another, God lives in us and his love is made complete in us.

1 John 4:19-21 NIV —  We love because he first loved us.Whoever claims to love God yet hates a brother or sister is a liar. For whoever does not love their brother and sister, whom they have seen, cannot love God, whom they have not seen. And he has given us this command: Anyone who loves God must also love their brother and sister.

1 Corinthians 13 NIV

Colossians 3:12-14 NIV — Therefore, as God’s chosen people, holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience. Bear with each other and forgive one another if any of you has a grievance against someone. Forgive as the Lord forgave you. And over all these virtues put on love, which binds them all together in perfect unity.

Today’s thoughts by Deborah Ard.

This week we will focus on love. There are so many Christian songs about love since love is at the center of Christianity. However, I have chosen a few that focus on the focus of the blog this week. Take some time to worship and praise God as you listen to the songs below.

‭‭Luke‬ ‭22‬:‭41‬-‭42‬ ‭NIV‬‬ – He withdrew about a stone’s throw beyond them, knelt down and prayed, “Father, if you are willing, take this cup from me; yet not my will, but yours be done.”

We all have the same opportunity to surrender to God’s will as Jesus did in today’s key verse. This week we have shared on getting unstuck.

We don’t always understand why things happen the way they do. It is easy to get stuck in our faith when there is evil and sickness in the world. Life isn’t a Hallmark movie. You don’t always fall in love, or get healed, or get the promotion. We can’t let what we see get us stuck from knowing the goodness of God. It is not easy praying for God’s will.

Are you feeling stuck? On January 3, 2026 Ray shared his mantra for this year, “accept what God allows.” Acceptance is the first step toward getting unstuck and surrender to God’s perfect will. How will you use your God opportunities to move forward? Just as God didn’t forsake Jesus, He has not forgotten you. God sacrificed His only son so that we could have eternal life. This side of heaven is just a vapor of time. If you don’t know Jesus as your personal savior, we encourage you to visit our Steps To Peace page.

Let’s pray David’s prayer through Psalm 86.

‭‭Numbers‬ ‭13‬:‭30‬ ‭NIV‬‬ — Then Caleb silenced the people before Moses and said, “We should go up and take possession of the land, for we can certainly do it.”

We all have the same opportunity to move forward as Joshua and Caleb did in today’s key verse. This week we are sharing on getting unstuck.

The Lord instructed Moses to send spies into Canaan to explore the land. Only two out of the 12 spies, Joshua and Caleb entered the promised land with a different perspective. We read in ‭‭Numbers‬ ‭14‬:‭6‬-7 ‭NIV‬ — Joshua son of Nun and Caleb son of Jephunneh, who were among those who had explored the land, tore their clothes and said to the entire Israelite assembly, “The land we passed through and explored is exceedingly good.”

In the Christine Cain 12/8/25 Equip & Empower Podcast, How Your Perspective Shapes Your Promise Land, episode 376, Christine says, “Everyone had the same promises and they held the same fruit, but two different perspectives that determined their destiny.” Christine asked, will you be one of the 16.6 percent?

Are you feeling stuck? God’s promises are for everyone. God wants our faith and trust in Him. He wants us to know and stand on His promises with confidence. How will you use your God opportunities to move forward? Don’t allow your perspective to keep you stuck.

Let’s pray David’s prayer through Psalm 86.

Today’s thoughts are by Julie Wicker

‭‭Luke‬ ‭10‬:‭38‬-‭40‬ ‭NIV‬‬ — As Jesus and his disciples were on their way, he came to a village where a woman named Martha opened her home to him. She had a sister called Mary, who sat at the Lord’s feet listening to what he said. But Martha was distracted by all the preparations that had to be made. She came to him and asked, “Lord, don’t you care that my sister has left me to do the work by myself? Tell her to help me!”

We all have the same opportunity to sit in God’s presence as Mary did in today’s key verse. This week we are sharing on getting unstuck. There are times we are busy like Martha and times we are still like Mary. God isn’t saying we can’t be both. Notice He says, “Martha was distracted.” It is easy to get distracted and get stuck on the hamster wheel of doing things for others and pleasing people.

Are you feeling stuck? I encourage you to evaluate your boundaries. Are you making time to sit with God? Are you listening to God on when to say “yes” and when to say “no.” How will you use your God opportunities to move forward? Remember that not everything is your assignment. God wants you to be intentional with your time and talents.

Let’s pray David’s prayer through Psalm 86.

‭‭Matthew‬ ‭14‬:‭29‬ ‭NIV‬‬ — “Come,” he said. Then Peter got down out of the boat, walked on the water and came toward Jesus.

We all have the opportunity to walk on water as Peter did in today’s key verse. This week we are sharing on getting unstuck.

Jesus calls each of us out of the boat. Our boats can change. In every season, God wants us to join in following Him. Your season might be being a student, a spouse, a parent or grandparent, a career, a retiree, a minister, and much more. In all the different seasons of life, it is easy to get stuck in the what, where, and when so that we become paralyzed. Are you feeling stuck? Take time to evaluate where you need to take God’s hand and walk on water.

How will you use your God opportunities to move forward? God says, come. He doesn’t say what, where, and when but He wants you to be ready to answer His call. He wants you to trust Him with every step.

Let’s pray David’s prayer through Psalm 86.

‭‭Today’s thoughts by Julie Wicker

Psalms‬ ‭40‬:‭1‬-‭3‬ ‭NIV‬‬ — I waited patiently for the Lord; he turned to me and heard my cry. He lifted me out of the slimy pit, out of the mud and mire; he set my feet on a rock and gave me a firm place to stand. He put a new song in my mouth, a hymn of praise to our God. Many will see and fear the Lord and put their trust in him.

We all have the opportunity to cry out to God. In turn, we know from Romans 8:26-27, God sees and hears each of us even when we don’t know what to say. This week we are sharing on getting unstuck.

It is said that comparison is a thief to joy. It is easy to get stuck in comparing our lives with others. The truth is that God made each of us unique. He also gave us free will which includes freedom over our thoughts. Are you feeling stuck? I pray that you can find joy and peace through the scripture verses below.

‭‭Psalms‬ ‭139‬:‭13‬ ‭NIV — For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother’s womb.”

‭‭2 Corinthians‬ ‭10‬:‭5‬ ‭NIV‬‬ — We demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God, and we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ.

‭‭Galatians‬ ‭6‬:‭4‬-‭5‬ ‭MSG — Make a careful exploration of who you are and the work you have been given, and then sink yourself into that. Don’t be impressed with yourself. Don’t compare yourself with others. Each of you must take responsibility for doing the creative best you can with your own life.‬‬

How will you use your God opportunities to move forward? God wants to pull you out of feeling stuck. God wants you to trust Him. He loves you. He sees you. He hears you. He wants you to experience the peace and joy that only He can offer.

Let’s pray David’s prayer through Psalm 86.
