Ecclesiastesβ¬ β3β¬:β11β¬ βNIVβ¬β¬ β He has made everything beautiful in its time. He has also set eternity in the human heart; yet no one can fathom what God has done from beginning to end.
Join us for See You Saturday as we wrap up our week on being beautifully broken.
ββJeremiahβ¬ β32β¬:β17β¬ βNIVβ¬β¬ β Ah, Sovereign Lord, you have made the heavens and the earth by your great power and outstretched arm. Nothing is too hard for you.
Watching the waves reminded me that our God is in control.
Watching the birds feed off the seashore reminded me that our God always provides.
Todayβs key verse from Jeremiah tells us that our God is sovereign. He is the beginning and the end. He is the creator of all things. Nothing is too hard for our God.
I pray that you know who you are in Christ Jesus. We are Godβs sons and daughters. With God as our creator, we are all beautiful. Now matter what your circumstances are, God is bigger.
Letβs pray. Dear God, thank You that the heavens declare Your glory. Thank You that the skies proclaim the work of Your hands (ββPsalmsβ¬ β19β¬:β1β¬ βNIVβ¬β¬). In Jesusβ name I pray, Amen.
ββPsalmsβ¬ β147β¬:β3β¬ βNIVβ¬β¬ β He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds.
Standing on the grand seashore reminded me that our God is so much bigger than our wounds.
Seeing all the different footprints and paw prints in the sand reminded me of the Footprints In The Sand poem my mom had hung in our house growing up. The poem shows us one set up footprints because God is always carrying us in our times of need.
Hearing the crashing of the waves, cleansed my heart and soul of all that floods my mind. God is in the healing business. Will you allow God to bind up your wounds?
Today letβs praise Him for our brokenness.
Dear God, thank You for taking the broken pieces of my life and using those pieces to make something beautiful. May I always have my eyes open to the ways you can use my brokenness to be a witness and blessing in Your name. In Jesusβ name I pray, Amen.
1 Timothyβ¬ β4β¬:β16β¬ βNIVβ¬β¬ β Watch your life and doctrine closely. Persevere in them, because if you do, you will save both yourself and your hearers.
While at the beach, I noticed some seashells had barnacles. If we aren’t careful, we too can grow barnacles. We grow barnacles by not filtering what we take in every day and allowing negativity, labels, social media, and stress to alter our actions and reactions. Timothy reminds us that we should watch and guard this life God has given us closely.
As I tasted the salty air, it reminded me that as Christians, we are the salt of the Earth. As a wife, mother, daughter, sister, aunt, friend, and co-worker, it is my responsibility to take Christ with me. Daily we must shed the barnacles and take up our cross.
Letβs pray. Dear God, thank You for entrusting me with being the salt of the Earth. As a Water Walker, I strive to shed my barnacles, take up my cross, and lead others to You. In Jesusβ name I pray, Amen.
ββGenesisβ¬ β1β¬:β27β¬ βNIVβ¬β¬ β So God created mankind in his own image, in the image of God he created them; male and female he created them.
As I walked on the beach and searched for seashells, I realized some are broken and some complete. Both display beauty. We are like these broken and beautiful seashellsβ imperfect, yet made in the perfect image of God.
When I saw my shadow, I was reminded of how I too was made in the image of Christ. Letβs relish that thought. God created you and me in His own image. God can restore what is broken and restore our brokenness into something amazing.
Feeling the sand in my toes and the sunshine on my face made me want to stay awhile and bask in God’s glory. Will you stay awhile with God today? Will you bask in His presence?
Letβs pray. Dear God, thank You that although I am broken, I am made beautifully in Your perfect image. I long to stay in Your presence and bask in Your glory. I ask that You turn my brokenness into something amazing for Your glory. In Jesusβ name I pray, Amen.
Letβs go down this broken path together. How do you access Godβs word? Do you use a paper Bible? The internet? Or an App on your phone? I encourage you to open your paper Bible and meditate on the following verses.
