‭‭Exodus‬ ‭14‬:‭21‬-‭22‬ ‭NIV‬‬ — Then Moses stretched out his hand over the sea, and all that night the Lord drove the sea back with a strong east wind and turned it into dry land. The waters were divided, and the Israelites went through the sea on dry ground, with a wall of water on their right and on their left.

Once Pharoah realized what he had done by releasing the Israelites, he went after them with his chariots. You can imagine the Israelites’ fear as they approached the water. We read in Exodus 14:14 NIV – “The Lord will fight for you; you need only be still.” Although we are not physically walking through water, we have opposition all around us. It is hard to be still and let God fight on our behalf. All we have to do is say His name and worship Him.

In Exodus 14:19-20 we learn that the pillar of cloud moved and stood behind them. “Then the angel of God, who had been traveling in front of Israel’s army, withdrew and went behind them. The pillar of cloud also moved from in front and stood behind them, coming between the armies of Egypt and Israel. Throughout the night the cloud brought darkness to the one side and light to the other side; so neither went near the other all night long.” We can envision God surrounding us with His spirit. Once Moses confidently stretched out his hand over the sea, the waters parted. Do you want to walk like Moses, through the waves? Do you want to see the promised land? What is Your Pharoah? What do you need to release in your life and allow God to make a way?

Let’s pray. Dear God, thank You for parting the waters and leading me to dry ground. I praise You oh Lord, the highest of Names. Go with me today as I desire to walk like Moses. Help me to fully surrender. In Jesus’ Name I pray, Amen.

‭‭Daniel‬ ‭3‬:‭28‬ ‭NIV‬‬ — Then Nebuchadnezzar said, “Praise be to the God of Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego, who has sent his angel and rescued his servants! They trusted in him and defied the king’s command and were willing to give up their lives rather than serve or worship any god except their own God.

King Nebuchadnezzar ordered Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego to be thrown into the blazing furnace for not worshiping him and a large gold image he had erected.. When they still would not worship him, he ordered the furnace to be heated up seven times hotter than usual. They were firmly tied but went into the furnace confidently, knowing that God would rescue them. Then King Nebuchadnezzar looked into the furnace and said, “Look! I see four men walking around in the fire, unbound and unharmed, and the fourth looks like a son of the gods.”

Do you want to face the fire? This life is not promised to be easy. We can face the fire and praise God through it, knowing God’s got our backs, just like He did for Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego. Jesus was the fourth man seen in the blazing furnace. Will you lean into God today and allow Him to be Your fourth man in the fire?

Let’s pray. Dear God, I am going to praise You Lord, the one who can do impossible things. You are the only one worthy of my praise. Help me resist putting other idols before you. I want You to be the fourth man in my fire. In Jesus’ Name I pray, Amen.

‭‭Acts‬ ‭16‬:‭25‬-‭26‬ ‭NIV‬‬ — About midnight Paul and Silas were praying and singing hymns to God, and the other prisoners were listening to them. Suddenly there was such a violent earthquake that the foundations of the prison were shaken. At once all the prison doors flew open, and everyone’s chains came loose.

Paul and Silas had been imprisoned for healing a demon possessed fortune teller. After being publicly punished and thrown in prison, Paul and Silas were praying and singing praises to God. When facing opposition, do you sing like Paul and Silas, tearing down the prison walls?

Once the earthquake broke the prison and the prisoner chains, Paul and Silas each chose to stay and be a witness. Because of their obedience, the jailer and his entire family became believers of Christ Jesus. Do you have a faith like Paul and Silas?

When Paul and Silas had the chance to leave quietly and go in peace, they stood up for what was right. Do you stand up for Christ?

Let’s pray. Dear God, thank You for breaking my chains when I became a believer. Thank You for giving me the freedom to worship You. May I have a faith like Paul and Silas by singing Your praises and being a witness. In Jesus’ Name I pray, Amen.

May we all strive to have a faith like Paul who wrote 13 books of the Bible. You can learn more through an article on Bible Study Tools by Pamela Palmer. Today I encourage you to meditate on Paul’s words regarding our faith.

‭‭Romans‬ ‭1‬:‭17‬ ‭NIV‬‬ — For in the gospel the righteousness of God is revealed—a righteousness that is by faith from first to last, just as it is written: “The righteous will live by faith.”

‭‭1 Corinthians‬ ‭16‬:‭13‬ ‭NIV‬‬ — Be on your guard; stand firm in the faith; be courageous; be strong.

‭‭2 Corinthians‬ ‭5‬:‭7‬ ‭NIV‬‬ — For we live by faith, not by sight.

‭‭Galatians‬ ‭3‬:‭26‬ ‭NIV‬‬ — So in Christ Jesus you are all children of God through faith.

‭‭Ephesians‬ ‭2‬:‭8‬ ‭NIV‬‬ — For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God.

‭‭Philippians‬ ‭1‬:‭6‬ ‭NIV‬‬ — being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.

‭‭Colossians‬ ‭2‬:‭6‬ ‭TPT‬‬ — In the same way you received Jesus our Lord and Messiah by faith, continue your journey of faith, progressing further into your union with him!

‭‭1 Thessalonians‬ ‭1‬:‭3‬ ‭NIV‬‬ — We remember before our God and Father your work produced by faith, your labor prompted by love, and your endurance inspired by hope in our Lord Jesus Christ.

‭‭2 Thessalonians‬ ‭1‬:‭4‬ ‭NIV‬‬ — Therefore, among God’s churches we boast about your perseverance and faith in all the persecutions and trials you are enduring.

‭‭1 Timothy‬ ‭6‬:‭12‬ ‭NIV‬‬ — Fight the good fight of the faith. Take hold of the eternal life to which you were called when you made your good confession in the presence of many witnesses.

‭‭2 Timothy‬ ‭3‬:‭17‬ ‭TPT‬ — Then you will be God’s servant, fully mature and perfectly prepared to fulfill any assignment God gives you.

‭‭Titus‬ ‭2‬:‭2‬ ‭TPT‬‬ — Lead the male elders into disciplined lives full of dignity and self-control. Urge them to have a solid faith, generous love, and patient endurance.

Philemon‬ ‭1‬:‭6‬ ‭TPT‬‬ — I pray for you that the faith we share may effectively deepen your understanding of every good thing that belongs to you in Christ.

2 Corinthians‬ ‭1‬:‭3‬-‭5‬ ‭MSG‬‬ — All praise to the God and Father of our Master, Jesus the Messiah! Father of all mercy! God of all healing counsel! He comes alongside us when we go through hard times, and before you know it, he brings us alongside someone else who is going through hard times so that we can be there for that person just as God was there for us. We have plenty of hard times that come from following the Messiah, but no more so than the good times of his healing comfort—we get a full measure of that, too.
