‭‭Psalms‬ ‭139‬:‭8‬-‭10‬ ‭NIV‬‬ — If I go up to the heavens, you are there; if I make my bed in the depths, you are there. If I rise on the wings of the dawn, if I settle on the far side of the sea, even there your hand will guide me, your right hand will hold me fast.

Ever been terrified to follow God’s lead to boldly take the next step and Walk on Water? Good news, we read in Psalms that God is guiding us and even leading us by hand. 

Each year Deborah and I try to add something new to the blog. Recently we realized that it has been one year since we started a Water Walkers Blog TikTok account. Our daughters initially encouraged us to start TikTok. After about six months of encouragement from our youth, we did it. We have not looked back. From there this gave us the confidence to start doing Instagram and Facebook reels.

Maybe TikTok, Instagram, or Facebook are not of interest to you. Pray and ask God to encourage you to step out of your comfort zone and Walk on Water toward something that does interest you. God is waiting to take your right hand.

Let’s pray. Dear God, thank You for always being with me and guiding me by the hand. Show me ways that I can step out of my comfort zone and Walk on Water. In Jesus’ Name I pray, Amen.

‭‭Psalms‬ ‭139‬:‭1‬-‭2‬, ‭7‬ ‭NIV‬‬ — You have searched me, Lord, and you know me. You know when I sit and when I rise; you perceive my thoughts from afar. Where can I go from your Spirit? Where can I flee from your presence?

Isn’t it nice to be known, heard, seen, and loved by our Heavenly Father. We never have to wonder because it is written in Psalms that God knows each of us. He knows our hearts, minds and our character. 

Isn’t it nice to know that we are never alone. There is nowhere we can go that God can’t find us. It is comforting to have the guarantee that even when we falter, God is with us. When we experience joy, love or fear, sadness or jealousy, bitterness, God is with us.

Let’s testify to God’s goodness. Can you recall a time when you felt the presence of God? Bask in it, journal it, share it with a friend. There may be times in our fear, sadness, jealousy, or bitterness that we need to be reminded of the goodness of God.

Let’s pray. Dear God, thank You for the presence of Your Holy Spirit. Thank You for knowing me and loving me. Help me share Your goodness with others today. In Jesus’ Name I pray, Amen.

‭‭Psalms‬ ‭139‬:‭1‬-‭24‬ ‭NIV‬‬ — You have searched me, Lord, and you know me. You know when I sit and when I rise; you perceive my thoughts from afar. You discern my going out and my lying down; you are familiar with all my ways. Before a word is on my tongue you, Lord, know it completely. You hem me in behind and before, and you lay your hand upon me. Such knowledge is too wonderful for me, too lofty for me to attain. Where can I go from your Spirit? Your eyes saw my unformed body; all the days ordained for me were written in your book before one of them came to be. How precious to me are your thoughts, God! How vast is the sum of them! Were I to count them, they would outnumber the grains of sand— when I awake, I am still with you. If only you, God, would slay the wicked! Away from me, you who are bloodthirsty! They speak of you with evil intent; your adversaries misuse your name. Do I not hate those who hate you, Lord, and abhor those who are in rebellion against you? I have nothing but hatred for them; I count them my enemies. Search me, God, and know my heart; test me and know my anxious thoughts. See if there is any offensive way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting.
