‭‭John‬ ‭4‬:‭13‬-‭14‬ ‭NIV‬‬ — Jesus answered, “Everyone who drinks this water will be thirsty again, but whoever drinks the water I give them will never thirst. Indeed, the water I give them will become in them a spring of water welling up to eternal life.”

This week we have been sharing the story of The Woman at the Well from John, Chapter 4. I was once that Woman at the Well. Seeking all the wrong things in life. Desperate for love and approval from others. Lost in worldly people, places, and things. Notice we don’t know her name. I wonder if we don’t know her name because she is you and I. For instance, her name could be Julie or Deborah.

It was in the sixth hour and the heat of the day. An uncommon time to draw water. It was no coincidence that Jesus was at the well at the same time. The Woman at the Well was the first person that Jesus told He was the Messiah! You can read the full story, John 4:7-26 NIV. What and who are you seeking today?

Let’s pray. Dear God, thank You for Your living water that never runs dry. Thank You for choosing me as Your broken vessel to share Your glory. In the Name of Jesus, Amen.

Jesus said in ‭‭Acts‬ ‭1‬:‭8‬ ‭NIV‬‬ –“But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.”

This week we have been sharing the story of The Woman at the Well from John, Chapter 4. You can read the full story in John 4:1-26 NIV.

Deborah once asked me, if I wrote the Bible, where would I start. My answer was The Woman at the Well. Jesus came into this world to save a sinner like me. I want everyone in the world to know that they too can have a personal relationship with Christ Jesus. All you need to do is ask Him to forgive your sins, live in your heart, and profess that Jesus is Lord.

Let’s look at some connecting verses. We know there was a divide between Jews and Samaritans. In today’s key verse, Luke instructs us to be a witness in Jerusalem, Judea, and Samaria. We know that Jesus intentionally travels through Samaria on His way from Judea to Galilee as we read in John‬ ‭4‬:‭4‬-‭6‬ ‭NIV‬‬ — Now he had to go through Samaria. So he came to a town in Samaria called Sychar, near the plot of ground Jacob had given to his son Joseph. Jacob’s well was there, and Jesus, tired as he was from the journey, sat down by the well. It was about noon.

Take a moment to read The Great Commission in Matthew 28: 18-20 where Matthew instructs believers to do the same by going out to all the nations. The story of The Woman at the Well sets the scene for why Jesus traveled this Earth: To save and have a relationship with each of us. In turn we are to share the gospel and not discriminate against anyone.

Let’s pray. Dear God, thank You for Your word to instruct and guide us to live out the Great Commision. Give me the strength and courage to share Your love with others. In the Name of Jesus, Amen.

This week we are sharing the story of The Woman at the Well from John, Chapter 4. On Sunday I shared a song that included clips from The Chosen. Today I encourage you to watch the full Chosen scene of the Woman At The Well.

Take a moment to meditate on this week’s Bible verses.

John 4:1-26 NIV

‭‭Matthew‬ ‭28‬:‭18‬-‭20‬ ‭NIV‬‬ — Then Jesus came to them and said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”

Jesus said in ‭‭Acts‬ ‭1‬:‭8‬ ‭NIV‬‬ “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.”

Ephesians 4:22-24 NIV — You were taught, with regard to your former way of life, to put off your old self, which is being corrupted by its deceitful desires; to be made new in the attitude of your minds; and to put on the new self, created to be like God in true righteousness and holiness.

‭‭Ephesians‬ ‭5‬:‭25‬-‭27‬ ‭ESV‬‬ — Husbands, love your wives, as Christ loved the church and gave himself up for her, that he might sanctify her, having cleansed her by the washing of water with the word, so that he might present the church to himself in splendor, without spot or wrinkle or any such thing, that she might be holy and without blemish.

‭‭This week we have been sharing worship songs that have Old Testament meaning. Today I want to flip the script! Thankfully because we live on this side of Christ, we are blessed to walk this Earth with the love and grace of God. Before we listen to today’s song, I encourage you to listen to the story behind the song with Kari Jobe’s Song Story.

Now I encourage you to worship with Let Your Glory Fall by Kari Jobe. May our mantra be, “Let Your presence flood my life, oh Lord.” Imagine that first time the Israelites experienced the glory of God in ‭‭Leviticus‬ ‭9‬:‭23‬-‭24‬ ‭NIV‬‬ — Moses and Aaron then went into the tent of meeting. When they came out, they blessed the people; and the glory of the Lord appeared to all the people. Fire came out from the presence of the Lord and consumed the burnt offering and the fat portions on the altar. And when all the people saw it, they shouted for joy and fell facedown.

Let’s pray. Dear God, come and reign in this place. I seek Your presence to flood my life. In Jesus’ Name I pray, Amen.
