I have had a difficult week. I am not going to go in to the details of what made it difficult because that would give Satan glory and this blog is NOT about him! I have just seemed to have one trouble after another and just when I have felt like one situation is better something else would happen. So today I want to share with you how the intentions of my friends have blessed me and brought me joy.

Why am I here? Why was I born? What does God want me to do with my life? What direction should I go? How many of you have ever asked one of these questions? I imagine at some point we all have. Years ago I participated in a study on The Purpose Driven Life by Rick Warren. While many of us would have liked if the book had spelled out the right vocation for us it in fact helped to define our real purpose in life. If you haven’t read the book I highly recommend it.

One of them, when he saw he was healed, came back, praising God in a loud voice. He threw himself at Jesus’ feet and thanked him-and he was a Samaritan. Jesus asked, ‘Were not all ten cleansed? Where are the other nine? Has no one returned to give praise to God except this foreigner? ‘The he said to him, ‘Rise and go; your faith has made you well.’”

Payday is several days away and our baby boy is going to need diapers today. I get an unexpected call from the school bookkeeper for me to come to her office to pick up a reimbursement check. Relief and thanksgiving flood my spirit.

I am emotionally drained and am not sure if I can face another stressful day. I open up my devotion book and the scripture is my life verse. My spirit is renewed and I feel stronger.

I am struggling to complete the run interval and am ready to start walking when my friend encourages me to not give up. I keep on putting one foot in front of the other and am able to complete the goal.

All of the above situations are true stories that have occurred in my life. All of the above situations are examples of God’s provision.

“You turned my wailing into dancing; you removed my sackcloth and clothed me with joy, that my heart may sing your praises and not be silent. Lord my God, I will praise you forever.” Psalm 30:10-12 I am not sure when it began. Was it when Clark and I were first married? Or was it after the birth of our first child? Or our second child? Or was it after our children were older and began participating in outside activities like t-ball? I am just not sure when my decline as a housekeeper began but at some point I let my household duties get piled up.

I have just returned from an adventurous trip to Washington, DC with my family. Traveling in such busy traffic has been somewhat eye opening to me. First of all, I realized how thankful I am to live where I live. Secondly, I am thankful that I was not doing the driving.
