Today’s thoughts by Julie Wicker

‭‭Matthew‬ ‭28‬:‭18‬-‭20‬ ‭NIV‬‬ — Then Jesus came to them and said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”

This week I am sharing my personal testimony, my Christian walk, and our Water Walkers’ journey from the beginning.

How did we get here? Deborah and I met and became friends through church. We both had a desire to follow the Great Commission by sharing God’s word with others. Our Pastor encouraged us to take a class on sharing God’s word through different social media channels. From there our Water Walkers blog started. The glory of God has and always will be our shared purpose.

Today’s key verse doesn’t mean we need to travel the world. You can be a Disciple in your home and in your community. Through writing for Water Walkers, Deborah, Ray and I reach followers in 43 countries, including America, Ireland, Sweden, India, China, and many more. Pastor and author Mark Batterson says that legacy is growing fruit in someone else’s garden.

Do you believe in Christ Jesus? Have you asked Him into your heart to forgive your sins and be Lord over your life? If you want more on salvation,  you can visit our page on Steps To Peace.

Let’s pray. Dear God, thank You for the gift of Your son, Christ Jesus. Guide me in being Your Disciple and living out the Great Commission. In Jesus’ name I pray, Amen.
