Today’s thoughts by Julie Wicker

Acts‬ ‭2‬:‭38‬ ‭NIV‬‬ — Peter replied, “Repent and be baptized, every one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins. And you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.

This week I am sharing my personal testimony, my Christian walk, and our Water Walkers journey from the beginning.

How did I get here? It has always amazed me that even though my parents didn’t start their marriage as Christ followers they had me baptized as an infant. Thankful I could pass the baton of faith to our children, my husband and I had them baptized as infants and raised them in church. It wasn’t until our twins were about 5 that we started participating in Sunday School, devotions, and really diving in and learning God’s Word. Before that time, I relied on my Pastor to know it for me. I didn’t realize how much I relied on my Pastor until my son asked me, “Why don’t golf carts have seatbelts?” I could barely get out, “I am not sure” when my son then said, “I know, I need to ask Pastor Mike!” It was then that I really wanted to know God’s word so when my children would ask a biblical question, I could answer it and have a conversation with them about God’s Word.

Do you believe in Christ Jesus? Have you asked Him into your heart to forgive your sins and be Lord over your life? If you want more information, you can visit our page on Steps To Peace.

Let’s pray. Dear God, thank You for the gift of Your son, Christ Jesus. Forgive me of my sins and be Lord over my life. In Jesus’ name I pray, Amen.
