‭‭Matthew‬ ‭14‬:‭29‬ ‭NIV‬‬ — “Come,” he said. Then Peter got down out of the boat, walked on the water and came toward Jesus.

This week are talking about our Water Walkers blog story and what it means to be Waterwalkish.

As I shared yesterday, we started out slowly with the blog for the first couple of years. In 2019 we started a Facebook page and from there continually made it a goal to add something new to our Water Walkers journey every year. We either add a new social platform or make changes to the content we share.

In reading today’s key scripture verse, you will see that before Peter could walk on water, he first needed to step out of the boat. Every step we have taken with Water Walkers has been a step out of our comfort zones. What is your boat? What do you need to step out of so that you can walk on water? We are all Waterwalkish when we step out in faith.

Let’s go down memory lane. We encourage you to read our first blog posts from November of 2015:

Am I Coachable? by Debs

Take a look at today’s picture from when we first joined Facebook in January of 2019.

When we joined Instagram in March of 2019 we had a word of the week and a key verse. Our very first word was “Overflow” and our key verse from Psalms 23:5. You will want to read the surrounding verses. Sometimes our greatest blessing comes from our greatest trials. For His blessings to overflow, we need to walk with Him daily. We need to trust him in our tribulations and in our celebrations.

Let’s pray. Dear God, thank You for equipping me to step out of my boat in faith. I desire to live overflowing with Your love and grace so that I can shine reflect Your glory. In Jesus’ Name I pray, Amen.
