‭‭Matthew‬ ‭28‬:‭18‬-‭20‬ ‭NIV‬‬ — Then Jesus came to them and said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”

This week we have been talking about our Water Walkers blog story and what it means to be Waterwalkish.

Sharing our faith with others can be intimidating. I will never forget the first time we posted to the blog and how scary it was. In today’s key verse, Matthew instructs us on The Great Commission. For us social media has been a great way to reach the nations with God’s word.

We live in a fast-paced world. In the busyness, sometimes it is easier to hear God’s word. We Joined YouTube in February of 2022. Take a moment to watch our First YouTube Video. It wasn’t long and we started running out of storage on WordPress. We took a leap of faith and bought our domain in July of 2023, waterwalkers29.com. It was our daughters that convinced us we should join TikTok in September of 2023. Take a moment to watch our First TikTok Blooper

We continue to strive to be Waterwalkish by sharing our faith stories, one post, one picture, one video at a time. Help us share God’s word to the nations by following and sharing Water Walkers.

Let’s pray. Dear God, thank You for the desire to strive to seek You and Your will. I ask that You use me to share Your story all the days of my life in Jesus’ Name I pray, Amen.

Micah‬ ‭6‬:‭8‬ ‭NIV‬‬ — He has shown you, O mortal, what is good. And what does the Lord require of you? To act justly and to love mercy and to walk humbly with your God.

This week we will be talking about our Water Walkers blog story and what it means to be Waterwalkish.

When Water Walkers joined Pinterest in April of 2020, we started making our own images. At the time, that seemed like a big step for us. God had more exciting plans in store for us. We are so thankful and blessed that Ray White joined our team in September of 2021. You can read more about Ray on our Water Walkers Team page.

The blog holds the three of us accountable to act and react Christlike. In today’s key verse we know that Micah tells us how we should walk humbly. Our Water Walkers mantra has been, Soli Deo Gloria, otherwise known as SDG! You often read about this and hear us use it throughout our blog. In all that we write, do, and say, we desire to bring glory to God.

Let’s go down memory lane. In our first Pinterest Image, notice John instructs the Disciples to throw the net to the right. Being Waterwalkish, we need to be adaptable and willing to follow God’s instruction, even if it means change.

Our first blog post using one of Ray’s images on a Water Walking Wednesday. Notice the key verse is that God can do immeasurably more. God continues to amaze us!

Let’s pray. Dear God, thank You for doing immeasurably more than I can ask or imaginable. I desire to seek Your will and be adaptable to what is next. In Jesus’ Name I pray, Amen.

‭‭Matthew‬ ‭14‬:‭29‬ ‭NIV‬‬ — “Come,” he said. Then Peter got down out of the boat, walked on the water and came toward Jesus.

This week are talking about our Water Walkers blog story and what it means to be Waterwalkish.

As I shared yesterday, we started out slowly with the blog for the first couple of years. In 2019 we started a Facebook page and from there continually made it a goal to add something new to our Water Walkers journey every year. We either add a new social platform or make changes to the content we share.

In reading today’s key scripture verse, you will see that before Peter could walk on water, he first needed to step out of the boat. Every step we have taken with Water Walkers has been a step out of our comfort zones. What is your boat? What do you need to step out of so that you can walk on water? We are all Waterwalkish when we step out in faith.

Let’s go down memory lane. We encourage you to read our first blog posts from November of 2015:

Am I Coachable? by Debs

Today by Ju Ju

Take a look at today’s picture from when we first joined Facebook in January of 2019.

When we joined Instagram in March of 2019 we had a word of the week and a key verse. Our very first word was “Overflow” and our key verse from Psalms 23:5. You will want to read the surrounding verses. Sometimes our greatest blessing comes from our greatest trials. For His blessings to overflow, we need to walk with Him daily. We need to trust him in our tribulations and in our celebrations.

Let’s pray. Dear God, thank You for equipping me to step out of my boat in faith. I desire to live overflowing with Your love and grace so that I can shine reflect Your glory. In Jesus’ Name I pray, Amen.

‭‭Acts‬ ‭1‬:‭8‬ ‭NIV‬‬ — “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.”

This week we will be talking about our Water Walkers blog story and what it means to be Waterwalkish.

Deborah and I started the blog back in 2015 when our Pastor friend gave us the nudge to get started. She gave us the resources by providing training courses that included both blog and social media training. Although we started out very slow and inconsistent, we dipped our toes in the water.

In reading today’s key verse, we are all called to be a witness for God. I am reminded how we should all be prepared to give our testimony. It doesn’t have to be anything complicated. It can be as simple as sharing a scripture verse and how it has changed your life. What scripture verse helps tell your testimony story?

Our blog is based on Matthew 14:29. Having a scripture that helps drive our mission, also helps us be witnesses for God. Often you read or hear me share about my life verse, Philippians 1:6. By sharing my life verse, I am able to share how I am a continual work in progress for God’s glory. Since we all are a continued work in progress, we are Waterwalkish.

Let’s pray. Dear God, thank You for the gift of Your Holy Spirit so that I can witness for Your glory all the days of my life. Equip me to share a scripture verse and my story with someone who needs to know You as their personal savior. In Jesus’ Name I pray, Amen.

This week we will be talking about our Water Walkers blog story and what it means to be Waterwalkish.

It is important to keep God’s word in focus so that we can maintain a Waterwalkish mindset that will carry us through the week. We encourage you to take time to meditate on this week’s verses.

‭‭Acts‬ ‭1‬:‭8‬ ‭NIV‬‬ — “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.”

‭‭Matthew‬ ‭14‬:‭29‬ ‭NIV‬‬ — “Come,” he said. Then Peter got down out of the boat, walked on the water and came toward Jesus.

This week we will be talking about our Water Walkers blog story and what it means to be Waterwalkish.

We encourage you to worship with the Work You’ve Begun by Quinn Thorness.

The lyrics remind me of what it means to be Waterwalkish:

“All I want is to be like the one who took my cross and who gave His son. When the world tells me I should run, give me love, give me strength for the work that you’ve begun. Give me faith that spreads the good news, give me truth to free whats’ bound. And a song that loves to tell of how your mercy always abounds. Give me boldness to speak salvation to the ever angry crowd. Give me kindness to speak in patience to show them Your grace now.”

Of course our blog theme song that keeps us walking on water is Oceans by Hillsong United. May the Lord take us deeper than our feet could wander this week.

Luke 5:17-20 NIV — One day Jesus was teaching, and Pharisees and teachers of the law were sitting there. They had come from every village of Galilee and from Judea and Jerusalem. And the power of the Lord was with Jesus to heal the sick. Some men came carrying a paralyzed man on a mat and tried to take him into the house to lay him before Jesus. When they could not find a way to do this because of the crowd, they went up on the roof and lowered him on his mat through the tiles into the middle of the crowd, right in front of Jesus. When Jesus saw their faith, he said, “Friend, your sins are forgiven.”
