Hebrews‬ ‭13‬:‭20‬-‭21‬ ‭NIV‬‬ — Now may the God of peace, who through the blood of the eternal covenant brought back from the dead our Lord Jesus, that great Shepherd of the sheep, equip you with everything good for doing his will, and may he work in us what is pleasing to him, through Jesus Christ, to whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen.

‭‭Jeremiah‬ ‭29‬:‭11‬ ‭NIV‬‬ — For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.

This week’s theme of tomorrow started with my sweet dog Oreo. For her, tomorrow means something is going to happen. When I say in a soft voice, “Oreo, tomorrow you are going to granny’s house,” she wags her tail with excitement. Then when tomorrow arrives, in an excited voice I say, “Oreo, today is tomorrow,” she runs to the door ready to go. Just think about God and His excitement over us for what our tomorrows hold.

Jeremiah instructs us that God wants to give us hope and a future. They say that laughter is medicine for our souls. What better way to give us hope than to laugh and share our joys with our Heavenly Father. God desires for us to laugh. We read in Proverbs 31:25 – She is clothed with strength and dignity; she can laugh at the days to come.

Take a moment to laugh and read some Jokes. Do you have a funny joke you want to share with us? You can email us your joke to waterwalkers29@gmail.com

‭‭Ephesians‬ ‭1‬:‭16‬ ‭NIV‬‬ —- I have not stopped giving thanks for you, remembering you in my prayers.

How many of you love to garden or take care of plants? I love planting and getting my hands in the soil. Watering sometimes feels like a chore but a necessity for plant vitality. This is my second year taking care of a garden. I have planted tomatoes, bell peppers, jalapeno peppers, squash, and cucumbers. As I watch them grow, I get excited to think about what they will look like tomorrow. Audrey Hepburn said, “To plant a garden is to dream of tomorrow.” I encourage you to not only share your worries of tomorrow with God but to also bring Him your dreams and ask Him to water them.

Take a moment to think about how you have dreamed for your children, grandchildren, or nieces and nephews. You want opportunities and blessings for them. You desire for them to love the Lord and be good stewards. I am sure there have been many prayers and tears shed over the dreams fulfilled and the dreams lost. We are blessed to know that every dream and every prayer has been heard. Once upon a time, our parents, grandparents, aunts, and uncles prayed those same prayers for you and me. Let’s not give up remembering one another and praying for one another. Take time to thank God for the opportunities each new day holds and the dreams our tomorrows hold.

Let’s pray. Dear God, thank You for everyone who has remembered me in prayer. I lift up all my friends and loved ones to You today and ask that You bless them and keep them. Thank You for the opportunities that today holds. Thank You for giving me the ability to dream. I pray that You water my dreams with Your perfect will and favor. In Jesus’ name I pray, Amen.

‭‭Hebrews‬ ‭13‬:‭8‬ ‭NIV‬‬ — Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever.

‭‭Philippians‬ ‭4‬:‭6‬ ‭NIV‬ — Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.

I’m sure we have all stopped at a Krispy Kreme when the “Hot and Now” sign has been lit up. The thought of a hot, freshly glazed doughnut draws us in. We are likely to get a dozen, rather than just one. We end up coming home with an abundance. In our house there always seems to be one or two left in the box. Tomorrow and the next day, they start to get stale. Is this how our faith sometimes looks? We are hot today for God’s love while tomorrow we are leaving Him in the box for our relationship to get stale. Once the next set of worries arises, we are back at the Krispy Kreme ready for our “Hot and Now” doughnut.

In Hebrews, we read that God is the same no matter what. Even if the condition of our hearts grows stale, God still loves us. In Philippians, we learn not to be anxious but in every situation, be in prayer. Every situation consists of the day-to-day details as well as our worries. As a Water Walker we don’t always step out in faith immediately. We also sit in the boat with God. Albert Einstein said, “Learn from yesterday, live for today, hope for tomorrow.” Let’s choose to nurture our relationship with God today. Let’s live for today! Let’s not let our love for God and others grow stale.

Let’s pray. Dear God, thank You for the desire to be in a relationship with me. I want to be in constant communication with You! I want to sit and share with You daily. In Jesus’ name I pray, Amen!

‭‭Matthew‬ ‭6‬:‭33‬-‭34‬ ‭NIV‬ — But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.

Take a moment to think about our busy schedules. We often rush through the days and weeks, always planning for tomorrow. Then we feel guilty at the end of the day when all we did was rush from one activity to the next. Take a moment to think about how God feels when we miss the miracles and God Winks of today because we are too busy focusing on what tomorrow holds. Matthew instructs us to seek God and not worry about tomorrow. I know planning is essential for life but in the process of planning, I encourage us to not lose sight of what today holds.

Lori Deschene with Youth Dynamics said, “Peace is accepting today, releasing yesterday, and giving up the need to control tomorrow.” I pray that as we go about this week, we can all find peace in our busy schedules and take time to seek God for what each day holds.

Let’s pray. Dear God, thank You for all the blessings of today. I desire to seek You in the midst of all my planning this week. I seek to find Your peace. In Jesus’ name I pray. Amen.
