Today’s picture was taken looking out of my hotel room on a recent trip. As you can see, the picture didn’t initially turn out as I planned. Have you ever had that experience in life? Have you ever had everything all planned out with great expectations but the plans went haywire? Have you ever been broken-hearted or crushed in spirit? Did you have the misconception that as a Christian everything would be just right or your plans would turn out perfectly?

Jesus tells us differently. Jesus warns us that we will have difficulty in our lives. However He also promises that He has overcome the trouble and He is with us.

““I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.””
‭‭John‬ ‭16‬:‭33‬ ‭NIV‬‬

Are things not going as you planned? Do you find yourself feeling brokenhearted this morning? Do you feel there is no hope? Cry out to God. Lean on the One who has overcome the world. Allow the One Who Saves to comfort and deliver you. Trust that God hears you and has already overcome the trials you face and will help you catch your breath. God will save and make the picture clear.

“Is anyone crying for help? God is listening, ready to rescue you. If your heart is broken, you’ll find God right there; if you’re kicked in the gut, he’ll help you catch your breath.”
