Look close at this tree. It looks dead in some sections, yet very alive in others. We tend to compartmentalize our lives by choosing when and where we acknowledge that the Holy Spirit is alive and well within us.

It is easy to feel His Spirit on Sundays but by Saturday we can look back and see the days we let the world fill us. Good news, God doesn’t compartmentalize. His strength is in and through us every moment of every day.

As we go to our places of worship, let’s surrender to His strength and turn over our own strength. Will you offer up this prayer?

Lord, I choose to live for today in your strength by surrendering my own in every area of my life. In the name of Jesus Amen
