#welcomedblessings
Do we Expectantly wait for answered prayer? I have been circling a need in prayer. We have had our house on the market for several months now. Mid July I did a seven-day prayer walk around the house, where I did seven laps each day. I got the idea from Joshua 6, the March around Jericho. When completed, I contemplated to keep going. I decided to walk away in faith and leave it in God’s hands.
This week we have been talking about the word expectantly on our social media channels. Expectantly means with an excited feeling that something is about to happen, especially something good. In Lamentations 3:24 AMP, “The Lord is my portion and my inheritance”, says my soul; “Therefore I have hope in Him and wait expectantly for Him”. Mid-August we received an offer on our house. We are still in the beginning stages of the closing process, but we are excited to see God move. Were we expecting that offer? The answer should be yes but often we pray yet doubt or do not trust God’s perfect timing.
Do we welcome our blessings? If we are not waiting expectantly than maybe, we are not welcoming those blessings. The Lord’s desire is to bless us. In Psalms 84: 11 AMP, “For the Lord God is a sun and shield: Th Lord bestows grace and favor and honor; No good thing will He withhold form those who walk uprightly”. What I love about the Amplified version is that it adds the word “grace” in there. Even if we have made the wrong decision, God still wants to bless us. His perfect will still takes place because as we read in Romans 8:28 NIV, “And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose”.
Will you wait expectantly? Will you welcome God’s blessings?
