I have had a difficult week. I am not going to go in to the details of what made it difficult because that would give Satan glory and this blog is NOT about him! I have just seemed to have one trouble after another and just when I have felt like one situation is better something else would happen. So today I want to share with you how the intentions of my friends have blessed me and brought me joy.

I recently shared my running journey with you all back in June. A quick recap, I started running in January through the Run for God bible study & 5k program. Once I reached my 5k goal in April, I kept pushing myself week after week to run farther. I had always planned on running the 5k in Georgetown’s Bridge to Bridge Run on 11/2/19. Over the summer I decided to challenge myself to sign up for the 12k. I kept pushing harder each week. When summer was over and I had surpassed a 12K, I was contemplating signing up for the half marathon.

In finding your purpose or its purpose God gives you a hunger for something more. It’s in our hunger pains and sometimes spiritual famine that we find our desires, our joys, and our calling. The purpose then gets fed and God eventually brings that hunger back. It’s called the Journey of spiritual growth. How boring would life be if we continually felt full?
