Why am I here? Why was I born? What does God want me to do with my life? What direction should I go? How many of you have ever asked one of these questions? I imagine at some point we all have. Years ago I participated in a study on The Purpose Driven Life by Rick Warren. While many of us would have liked if the book had spelled out the right vocation for us it in fact helped to define our real purpose in life. If you haven’t read the book I highly recommend it.

What does praise mean? To express warm approval or admiration of; To express one’s respect and gratitude toward (a deity), especially in song.
If you have been following Kodi Lee on America’s Got Talent, you will have witnessed something amazing. Kodi has a natural ability to sing and play the piano. To hear him and see him at the piano you would never know that he is Autistic and blind.

“Now on his way to Jerusalem, Jesus traveled along the border between Samaria and Galilee. As he was going into a village, ten men who had leprosy met him. They stood at a distance and called out in a loud voice, ‘Jesus, Master, have pity on us!’ When he was them, he said, ‘Go show yourselves to the priests.’ And as they went, they were cleansed. One of them, when he saw he was healed, came back, praising God in a loud voice. He threw himself at Jesus’ feet and thanked him-and he was a Samaritan. Jesus asked, ‘Were not all ten cleansed? Where are the other nine? Has no one returned to give praise to God except this foreigner? ‘The he said to him, ‘Rise and go; your faith has made you well.’”

My Dad’s most recent procedure was successful. I was overwhelmed with Joy when I got the news from mom that the procedure had worked. It was not long when that joy was crushed. The next message I get from mom was that they could not wake Dad, his oxygen was low, and they would have to put him in ICU on a ventilator. As I struggled through packing and picking up kids and getting on the road to start traveling to Mom and Dad, I felt like all hope was lost. As the evening went on, we received better news. Dad was awake and breathing better. By 10:00pm he was breathing on his own and I was having a phone conversation with my Dad. I was overwhelmed with Joy again.
