The devil would love for us to fail, but God wants us to live an abundant life. We can be confident in this; John 10:10 AMP; “The thief comes only in order to steal and kill and destroy. I come that they may have and enjoy life and have it in abundance”.
With God we can thrive in every situation. We are no different than the palm trees; Psalms 92:12 HCSB; “The righteous thrive like a palm tree and grow like a cedar tree in Lebanon”.
No one likes to wait, thankfully we have God on our side and if we allow Him, He will renew our strength in the waiting; Isaiah 40:31 NIV “But those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary; they will walk and not be faint”.
We must cling to God so that we can bear His fruit & share His love with others; John 15:4 ASV “Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abide in the vine; so, neither can ye, except ye abide in me”.
In every new season we must forget the past & move forward in what God has for us; Isaiah 43:18 NIV “Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past. See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it?”
We should all go in confidence knowing we have the grace of God on our side; Hebrews 4:16 NIV “Let us then approach God’s throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need”.
I love the song “Arise & Shine”, my mom used to sing that to us when we were little kids to try and wake us up. Do you think you’re not worthy? Well, the glory of the Lord is upon you, shining bright; Isaiah 60:1 NIV “Arise, shine, for your light has come, and the glory of the Lord rises upon you”.
Let go & allow Jesus to call you out of your boat just like He did for Peter; Matthew 14:29 NIV ““Come”, he said. Then Peter got down out of the boat, walked on water and came toward Jesus”.
To speak life is to praise God. Whatever is in our heart and souls comes out in our words like a waterfall, flowing into our lives. So, go and declare His glory throughout your day; Psalm 71:8 NIV “My mouth is filled with your praise, declaring your splendor all day long”.
This week we have talked about the importance of speaking life & not speaking negativity over our lives, our families, and our situations. I’ve created an acronym for Water Walking Girls to help us remember to stand on His word and speak life.
